Hello World

So, apparently I have decided to start a blog.

It's been about a year since my first attempt at making vermouth. 18 attempts in, my recipe is pretty stable, but still evolving. I guess I will have to dedicate a future post to a summary of what I've done so far. Of course, once I started making one alcoholic concoction of my own, I couldn't stop there. Now I have a bunch of ongoing experiments, each of which I will introduce as I work on them next.

My plan is rewrite my notes for each experiment and post them here. While I haven't had too much difficulty understanding my notes when I look back so far, I doubt my good luck can last for ever. Hopefully, if I write about what I'm doing as if someone else were reading it, then when future me tries to recreate something he will have a fighting chance. As a bonus, maybe someone else actually will read this. If you are reading this, and you are not future me, then hello. I'd appreciate it if you would continue reading. At the very least, I can provide you with a list of things to not bother trying.
